Enjoy a bit of story telling through my art.

Laura is a talented multi-media artist from Maryland, bringing a unique perspective to her art and writing. Her work often highlights the beauty of everyday life, including her pets and surroundings.

Since I was a child I have always been artistic minded. I started to create young and never stopped. Striving over the years to improve my talents and my knowledge.

Throughout the years my accolades include
Senior Capstone, Department honors and Undergraduate Art Show exhibits in McDaniel Rice Gallery. Creating all the products, design & advertising for my honey business " Aunt Fancy's". Creating Icons of America art show advertising. Co-creator in a paper cutout stop motion PSA commercial. Artwork displayed at Deja Brew & Dawg Gone Bees.
Creating a unit logo for the U.S. Army.
"Covid" was a printed selection in McDaniel’s Contrast Literacy.
Teaching an abundance of stained glass classes.

Currently, I graduated from McDaniel College MAGNUM CUM LAUDE and an inducted member of Phi Beta Kappa, Omnicron Delta Kappa, Sigma Alpha Pi, and Sigma Tau Delta. I have goals to work in a graphic design/art studio and hoping to find the perfect professionalmix that has the same passion for the outcome of art as I do. Where my assets can be utilized and highlighted.

I grew up in Westminster, Maryland with an older sister and younger brother. I was the apple of my paternal grandfather's eye as well as my maternal grandmother. The middle child syndrome was real and my grandparents were here for it. They encouraged everything I believed in and reminded me "The best part of an Oreo, is the middle."

In my middle and high school years I expanded my knowledge within art as much as possible. I was involved in National art honor society, 4-H and Girl Scouts of America with my mother as the troop leader. I was able to travel regionally because of these involvements, bringing new perspective.

Until about 5 years ago I was Married to the military. It gave me the ability to live and travel internationally. Until about 5 years ago I was Married to the military. It gave me the ability to live and travel internationally. From South Korea to around the U.S., my perspective was able to expand further and emersed me in to multiple cultures. Now, I have rekindled a love with a flame from 25 years ago and live on a 12 acre farm. In my spare time I am a beekeeper and have my small honey business, "Aunt Fancy's. It keeps me busy in my spare time and helps the pollinators. I attend a few festivals and sell my honey as well as the art I create, all bee themed. Additionally, I maintain flower and vegetable gardens and enjoy a good book on rainy days snuggling, with my cat. My recently passed Golden Retriever, Lily, was a large part of my identity and in a lot of my art. She was my shadow.

Looking to my future I hope to find my own success. I was able to support those around me over the years and now I am looking to balance that energy. I hope to submerge myself into a career I love and can be passionate about.
